Jeff Losner

Jeff Losner is the founder of An Abstract Mind and creator of The Abstract Tray, a guided
creative emotional awareness process designed to help people explore thoughts and emotions
that are often difficult to access through words alone.
Growing up in a controlling and abusive household, Jeff spent much of his childhood drawing
abstract doodles as a way to escape anxiety and emotional tension. Years later, he realized this
same creative process helped surface and process emotions stored in the subconscious.
After sharing the approach with friends and family and witnessing meaningful improvements in
emotional well-being, Jeff formalized the practice in 2020 as The Abstract Tray, allowing
others to experience the same process of reflection and emotional awareness.
His work later attracted the attention of Dr. Gabriel Acevedo, a Yale-educated psychologist
who facilitated live events using the process and later published research based on those
experiences.
Jeff now introduces audiences to the concept through The 5-Minute Abstract Mind Reset, a
short guided creative exercise he can lead during podcast interviews. The exercise demonstrates
how abstract drawing can quiet mental noise, bring the mind into a neutral reflective state, and
help people notice emotions they may not have been consciously aware of.
The exercise is not meant to resolve years of emotional experience in five minutes. Instead, it
shows listeners that the mind can slow down, observe itself, and begin recognizing deeper
emotional patterns.
